Well, it’s time to find out who wins the 8GB Apple iPod nano!

Thanks again to everyone that submitted a review. You did a great job and gave me a lot of things to think about. As result, I have made a few changes around here… we now have a new professionally designed logo and a new tagline for the site. That’s it for now but I’m still thinking about a few other changes.

And the winner is… Jessica Biel… oops… wrong contest…

Seriously, the way I decided to do this is: Each review was assigned a number that corresponded to the order in which it was received. So the first review submitted was assigned the number 1, second review, number 2, etc. I then went to Random.org and plugged the numbers into their random sequence generator. With the idea that the winner would be the review that ended up in the first position as determined by the random sequence generator. The sequence returned was 8, 5, 11, 10, 12, 9, 14, 6, 1, 2, 16, 18, 4, 17, 3, 15, 7, 13.

So, the winner is… Bobs of ReformatThis! Here is a link to his review.

Congratulations Bobs! I hope you enjoy your new iPod.

It’s official… the contest is over.

By now I am sure you know that I am running a blog review contest where the winner gets a free 8GB Apple iPod nano. I like to give everyone that submits a review a little recognition by giving them a link here in the weekly update.

Here are the entries from the past week:

That’s it for this week… unless I missed someone. If you have submitted a review, please make sure I have included you in one of the update posts (Update 1, Update 2). If you don’t see your review listed, please contact me immediately.

That means a total of 18 reviews were submitted and I want to thank everyone that took the time to submit an entry.

Be sure to check back later today to see who wins the iPod!

It’s that time again…

I am currently running a little contest where the winner gets a free 8GB Apple iPod nano. And I try to give those that have entered a little recognition by giving them a link here in the weekly update.

With only 15 reviews submitted so far, your odds of winning are still really, really good. Get those reviews in… only one week left and someone is going to win an iPod!

As many of you already know, I am currently running a little contest. Unfortunately, the contest has not been as successful as I had hoped and while that maybe bad news for me, it is great news for you.

I have received lots of email and plenty of questions but as of today, only 10 reviews have been submitted. That means your odds of winning are extremely good.

Here are the current entries:

There’s two weeks left to submit reviews so I’m hoping to see quite a few more entries but either way, someone is going to win an iPod! Click here to find out how you can enter to win an 8GB Apple iPod nano.

Apple iPod nanoI have decided to have a little contest and the winner gets a new 8GB Apple iPod nano. The idea for this contest comes from John Chow who is a master of creating buzz for his blog.

It works like this, you write a review of PureBlogging.com and post it to your blog. After you complete your review, send me an email with the URL to the post on your blog. After I have confirmed that your review meets the entry requirements, I’ll add you to the list. At the end of the contest, I’ll draw one name and that blogger will win the iPod nano.

  1. Reviews must link to this contest page and the PureBlogging.com homepage.
  2. To enter just send me an email with the URL to your review.
  3. Reviews can be positive, negative, or mixed… just be honest. You do not have to post a positive review to be eligible to win.
  4. All qualifying entries will be included in a future post with a link back to your blog. (Good for your site’s PR)
  5. The contest will run for one month or until we have at least 100 entrants.
  6. If we can’t realistically ship it to you, or if you prefer, we’ll give you the cash price equivalent via Paypal.
  7. Terms are all subject to change as necessary.

Just tell me what you like about the site, what you dislike about the site, and link to a few examples and that’s it. I’m not looking for anything special here but a little creativity is always appreciated.

Who wants to be first?

UPDATE 04/10/07: Based on emails and comments on this thread, I have decided that the winner will be determined by random draw and the contest will end on Monday April 30, 2007 whether I have 100 entries or not. Good luck everyone!
