This past weekend, the annual women’s conference for blogging called BlogHer was held in the windy city of Chicago, IL. This is a conference where women bloggers from around the globe meet once a year to interact with one another, listen to various keynote speakers, and to learn about new blogging techniques and strategies.
Some of the speakers that attended and lectured at this year’s conference were: A. L. Venable (from DimpleAndaSmirk.com), Alana Reynolds (from LetterB.com), Angela Tseng (from MommyBytes.com), Anne Collier (from NetFamilyNews.org), and many other talented presenters!
If you were unable to make this year’s BlogHer conference, next year’s event has already been organized. I have provided the details below if you are interested:
What: BlogHer ’10
Where: The Hilton Hotel of New York, NY.
Price: Varies. Rates can be found on BlogHer’s EvenBrite Site.
If there are any bloggers here from the PureBlogging community who attended this year’s conference, please feel free to leave any feedback from how it went, how it was presented, and will you go back next year? Also, if there is anyone out there that has never been to a BlogHer conference and is interested for next year, please make yourself known.
Happy Blogging!

Thanks for the mention, Chad. I would definitely consider attending the next BlogHer. Learned a lot and had a lot of fun at this year’s – so many great bloggers and thinkers, and it was good, as a nonprofit person, to learn more about the commercial side and changing policy surrounding it. Was very impressed with the professionalism of the BlogHer peeps themselves.
Thanks for the heads up. It indeed pays to be updated and keep abreast with the recent technology and updates.
These conferences are great for keeping up on the latest going-on. Especially with the technical aspects constantly evolving.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Never underestimate the power of the goddess that is inherent in every woman. Their nurturing, loving aspect can create empathy no man can ever dream of, and this gives women bloggers a distinct advantage in certain niches. Long live girl-power!
Thanks for sharing!
Nice article!
Sounds like a good one, shame i missed it.
Unfortunately i am not a woman, so will never be able to attend such a conference. Maybe I can watch a video if it’s available. Good to know that women bloggers are being encouraged to carry on with blogging because if this done well, one could easily earn money with that.
Why wife was telling me about this advent, and how she wanted to attend. I am with you La Dique, I am a man and will never be able to attend myself
Oh well.
Oh…I missed this. I guess i will have to wait now.
I went this year and it was a blast. I learned a ton… I couldn’t believe how much awesome information I received. I didn’t want to go at first because my MIL was organizing the thing.. but went to make my husband happy and got a lot out of it!
Oh wow that is a pretty cool conference, I didn’t know conferences were held like this, it make alot of sense now that I think about it =D
Till then,
Jean
