PureBlogging » Blog Archive » Some More Tools For Your Twittering

For those of you out there who use the Twitter social-networking blogging site, I have specified some more tools that I have come across recently to enhance your Twittering experience:

  • Twellow – Want to find friends/followers near you, or that share the same interest as you? This service acts as a Twitter directory of users that are sorted by categories, and you can find users near you using this service’s TwellowHood feature.
  • Twply – Want your @replies forwarded to your e-mail? This opt in service will allow you to receive direct messages that are sent to your account also to your e-mail. This is a good service if you are a Twitterer on the go.
  • @spellingbot – Need something spelled, and don’t have any spell checking software around? Send an direct message to @spellingbot and your word in question will instantly be corrected.

Happy Blogging! :)

While we are on the subject of twitter, twe2 is another useful service. It enables foreign twitter users (outside of US & UK) to receive free twitter updates to their mobile phones. Twitter seems to be really going from strength to strength, much to my surprise actually….

Wow, so many great tools! Twitter gets better every day. I think I’m addicted to it now which is unfortunate cause I have only like 10 followers (funny thing is I know that most people don’t care about my twits but I just can’t stop posting them  )
D.

Twitter is just awesome and it’s because of the open source platform and all of these tools. I personally use twitterfox for real time updates. Like MrTweet, TweetStats. TweetLater -for schedule updates; TweetBurner for link tracking; TweetWorks for groups -there’s so much! Thanks for this post, I’ll check these services

If you’re using a blackberry and twittering, the Boy Genius is coming out with a new app that is supposed to be great as well called TweetGenius. I’m definitely going to make use of Twellow and the Tweetbar plugin for firefox (pulled from another comment!)

BTW… I recommend for any blogger to set it up so that when you make a new post, it posts to twitter. I’ve seen some great traffic growth from doing so, and have gained a pretty loyal traffic following.

I don’t really understand the needs for spellbot? Can’t we just simply search dictionary to get the right spelling? For the directories of tweeters sounds good!I will have it installed.

Hey Chad,

I am using twello right now along with tweetdeck and both of these tools are amazing.

Twello really makes the following process among the people of your niche very simple and also gains you recognition in the niche.

Thanks for posting these tools.

I don’t use Twitter, but these particular tools don’t sound particularly useful. Twellow sounds interesting, but I couldn’t be bothered to wade through tweets about what people had for breakfast.
