If you are new to the blogging scene and looking for ways to get involved in the blogosphere without spending money on servers and domains, I have listed a a few popular services below that will get you started…
- Blogger – This is a great place for a first time blogger. Blogger provides a clean and user-friendly interface to help you start your blogging experience.
- LiveJournal – This blogging site provides a social community where you can link to groups and networks that have a presence within the livejournal realm.
- WordPress – You have seen me mention WordPress on here as a blogging platform, but they do also host free blogs on their .com website. This is a great way to get introduced into the WordPress system.
If anybody out there has any favorite free blogging services that they use, feel free to post them in our comment section. Please also leave any feedback regarding the above services.

I stand behind WordPress a million times over. Not sure about the other platforms, just seems like there are so many more options with WP, it’s tough not to go with it.
I had my design contractor/developer build on a WP platform — it was infinitely less expensive than other bids I had received, and the back end is soooo easy to use, especially for my staff, who generally is pretty un-savvy with web stuff.
I really like wordpress the best, however, I want to try my hands on drupal sometime.
Big fan of Blogger here. So easy to use.
i like to read and explore this kind of site.
interesting site it really learns me a lot.
thanks for the information i will apply that.
For ease of use blogger and wordpress are great. But really the best is hosting your own WordPress, in my opinion. So to get started I would just do that, or start on wordpress.com if you just wanted to test out a blog.
Wordpress is definitely the way to go. Drupal just went through a update.TheBloggerSource.com
It is still best that you have your own domain name. The free hosts are okay but very restrictive on comments, responses etc.
Indeed. Using your own host and a WordPress blog offers so much more freedom than a free service.
I’ve had a quick play on a lot of free blogging services, for research purposes mainly. I found that WordPress is probably the best, but still nowhere near as good as using the platform on your own site. I love having the freedom with it.
wordpress so simple..i have several account there..
Wordpress is great,a prog called artisteer makes changing your header etc great fun.

Did you know that almost 50 of 100 biggest blogs uses wordpress?
With some SEO plugins it’s the most powerful platform now. No matter what they say about drupal or syndicate WP is my choice!
I still love blogger the best, dunno why
I’ve been using blogger even before it was called blogger (I do believe it was blogspot, or were they two different things). Yup, my URL still has .blogspot.com linked to it.
The WordPress is THE best for starting. It has most user friendly interface..
EDUblogs.org is a great free blogging site run off wordpress for students, schools and teachers to start free blogs.
interesting !
Thank You For Amazing Information
