A few months ago, Chris wrote an article about some common blog-related Firefox add-ons in his post, “Five Firefox Faves For Blogging,” so I thought I would mention a few of mine that I find useful for my blogging habits that might also benefits yours too:
- TwitterFox – Notifies you of your friend’s tweets and messages in real-time on your status bar. You can also: check other Twitter accounts that you have, post tweets and review private messages sent to you. Great for the Twitter addict.
- HeadlinesTicker – If you are subscribed to a quantity of RSS feeds and want to see them all progressively, this may be the add-on that you are looking for. This add-on shows you your up-to-date RSS feeds in a “stock market ticker” fashion at the bottom of your Firefox window. You may also click on the name of the feed, and it will bring you straight to the RSS article.
- ScribeFire – This add-on allows you to write blog posts straight from your status bar. It also allows you to drag text in from another source, and post to various blog sites. Great for the blogger on the go.
Your feedback on these are surely welcomed.
Happy Blogging!

I have been using the Stumble toolbar, I like that one. In general I don’t like too many thing cluttering up my monitor though.
Thanks for sharing. This ScribeFire plugin looks interesting, i might give it a try. Anyhow, I also like to have my window clean and with as much as possible visible space for sites. The things that are must on my firefox is Stumble Toolbar and irreplaceable RoboForm
.
I have been using the ScribeFire for a couple days now and it is pretty cool. It doesn’t take up that much space in Firefox and it is pretty useful if you have a niche interest (i.e. gadget blogs, you can respond quickly to multiple posts).
Scribe Fire plug in looks like it’s a timesaver always a plus. Even with RR turbo my pace seems slow so any timesaver is good. Thanks for the 411.

ScribeFire …. I think I never use it before, I am gonna download it now !
I use the Ticker add-on. Very handy to see your favourite bloggers’ posts, and if a title catches my eye, I read it.
Twitter and stumble are the ones I’ve had for a while now. I love them and they really help a lot.
Thanks a lot – ScribeFire is a genius plugin for people who blog a lot”!
I just downloaded and installed the TwitterFox add-on. It rocks. I’d always read my twitter messages later but now I can keep track of them by real-time notification.
