BlogHer is a 3-day long conference that is held each year to help promote and celebrate blogging efforts from women. This event consists of workshops, discussion sessions, speakers, and various other ways to get to know other bloggers within your blogosphere niche.
The next upcoming conference is in Friday July 24th of 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel in Chicago. More information about booking a reservation for BlogHer can be found here.
Has anyone been to any past BlogHer conferences? If so, what were your experiences?

What are you looking to get out of attending BlogHer? You realize that it’s geared towards women (mostly moms to be honest), right? Without knowing what you hope to get out of it it’s hard to say whether it would be beneficial for you.
Was just informing others about BlogHer if other readers would be interested in the event.
Ah, got it. I was thinking that not all too many men go to BlogHer. It can definitely be both fun and educational. But again, it’s all about what the person is looking for. It’s great if you’re a mommy blogger, new to blogging, a more established looking to connect with friends & blogger in a social atmosphere, or just looking to meet fellow bloggers.
I’d think that if someone is more serious about blogging and wants to learn blogging as a business, then I’d suggest either Blogher Business or Blog World. That’s my two cents.
You can definitely find men there too.
sounds…very great conference……..
My wife will be attending the Blogher event. She is trying to break into internet marketting and blogging and she sees this as a great opportunity to network.

Blogher is a highly unique conference. I’m a man and have attended once in the past. It was an eye opening experience to meet real people from certain parts of the net that some people never visit, especially the large and passionate “mommyblogger” (i dislike that term btw) segment. Many management and B2B blogs could (and should) learn much from this group in terms of passion and being real in their blogs. If you have an open mind, it’s a great place to spend a weekend.
As for getting into blogging as a business I don’ t know how much help it will be. However for socializing with other women who love to blog and talk about it in person, it’s a great way to network and maybe learn how to earn a little.
