Tomorrow’s Election Day here in the U.S. It’s time to put this presidential race to bed. It also seems like a good time to reflect upon how blogs have shaped our opinions over the last year or so, in the time leading up to the election.
Blogs have given a voice to anyone who wants one. An opportunity to share their thoughts and political views with the world. A forum to trash McCain or Obama and create controversial debates in their comments sections. There has been a whole lot of discussion dedicated to these two men, and that will without a doubt continue once the election is over.
People will be blogging about these guys for a while.
How much discussion have you read on blogs about the candidates?
Has any of it informed you about the candidates?
Has any of it changed your views about them?
How many discussions have you been a part of?
How many have you started?
Blogs have allowed people to wear their votes on their sleeves for the world to see, and have bonded communities of like-minded individuals as well as fueled good debate and not-so-good debate.
There is absolutely no doubt that this is the first election in which so much commentary from non-media professionals has been available for the general public to read. The voters have truly gotten to have their voices heard.
Now tomorrow, we get to see the product.

all the presidential blogging and comments convinced me to purchase a new domain name.
Blogs are indeed rising as a channel to voice individual’s opinion. Just from the election alone, it creates a buzz in a lot of blogs which leads to fruitful discussion. I guess we would see more blogs being created yearly now seeing the amount of viral effects blogs can create for a single topic.

A lot of people are trying to influence others these days.
Most important thing is that we are finally able to get the past from our necks. With new president we will finally be able to see some changes, hopefully, if he looks over his country and people first. We are deep in troubles and that needs to be fixed.
This is an interesting post. Thanks for sharing ! Hope to see your update soon.
One of those that didn’t want to comment on the post yesterday.I had my reason and I’m glad its over: Did an interview with a radio station about the election yest. , the future is bright for all Americans,it’s going to take a while but the first term will bring the change we’ve all been waiting for.
Thanks.
Yup I fully agree. The new US President-elect will bring a change to the US and the rest of the world. He’s the leader we’ve been waiting for for years.
Goodluck to him and the US.
But with all the great campaigns that Barck Obama came up with, it was bound for him to take it. He was able to attract many previous non-voters to the poll to make the change. Just from the elections he managed to get many more involved and step up to make themselves heard. That’s what I admire most about him.
