Blogs can make money without covering the topic of blogging for money, and in other niches not everyone is another blogger who's trying to do the same thing as you. It's easy to see how new bloggers can get all juiced up, create a couple of blogs and then wait for the cheques to roll in. When they see certain bloggers flashing around massive cheques it's easy for them to say 'wel if so and so makes 10 000 month surely I can make 500'. What they don't realize is that it takes a good blog about a year to gain traction, sometimes less if it's more controversial.
