The opening segment (where they study the two different types of families and follow their offspring) is great, but it's downhill after that. You do have a good point though, seems like the movie is becoming more and more relevant.....which is so very unfortunate. Idiocracy was an okay movie. Whenever my wife and I encounter moronic-level competence out in the world, we just look at each other and drawl, "I like money..." like a codephrase. :) I've recently been teaching a series of classes on writing for the web as part of my regular job, and it's hard to explain that writing to a sixth-grade reading level doesn't mean you're writing "down" to people. There are online grade-reading level testers. Search for them and use them. Check what reading level your writing is. Copy text from various Web sites and run it through the testers: you will be surprised at the low grade-reading level of many of them. Yet when you read them they don't sound "dumb" at all.
