I love Live Writer too. I’ve used w.bloggar for years, and still like it, but Live Writer is pretty cool.

Sharon, to set WordPress “native” tags, bring up the Post Properties pane (it can be accessed either by pressing F2, or the little up-arrow-thing next to the “Set publish date” widget) and fill out the Keywords field. I believe that’s a comma-separated list of tags.

Wordpress editor is best. However for offline stuff Windows LIVE is a good option

Definitely, using an offline editor is always recommended since the last thing you need after spending a lot of time and energy writing a great article is to experience some sort of problem and be forced to start over again

Yes, I used the Wordpress dashboard for a while, then I had server trouble and lost a few posts. That was enough to make me use an offline editor, most of the time.

I’ve heard good things about Qumana, but have had yet to try it. Haven’t tried to use Live Writer yet, either. I guess I’m just too used to writing all of my stuff on the wordpress dashboard….maybe one day that’ll change, though…

I was pleasantly surprised, JoLynn. I think you’ll find it works well. I haven’t noticed any problems TzuVelli, so I’ll take your word for it. I would like to make it work with the Wordpress tagging system or UTW. It must be possible – I just haven’t figured out how.
