Big vote in favor of the tutorial post! Far and away my favorite -- and while I agree that the video versions can be super helpful, there's nothing like a written post that steps you through how to do something. I must have a hundred of those "tutorial posts" bookmarked as resources I can turn to to refresh my memory.

I'm a jack of all trades and master of few, so that really only leaves me with "opnion" posts.

Yes, very enlightening. I'm the kind of person that laps up this kind of info. I have only started blogging a few months ago so I am still reading everything I can on the subject. I have just been back an analysed all my own posts and realised that they mainly fall into the tutorial type. My plan now is to tackle each post and create a related post in each of the styles. Partly for practice but also a great way to generate new ideas and new posts. Cool stuff, I shall be rummaging further through this blog for more gems

I think the best way to blog is to post anything you interested. Usually, we can do well if we love or feel interested in what we do.

I prefer definition posts because they are the easiest to write. You just explain the term or concept and talk about it.

Wow this is excellent, I also went to your own blog site ans bookmarked it as well. I'll be reading your beginner blog material. I will absolutely be using these five blog formats before writting my blog posts from now on. It's a great basic procedure to use, cuts away alot of confusion on how and what to write in your blogs. Thanks Michael
