Shareaholic is a new Firefox extension that simplifies the process of submitting a web page to your favorite bookmarking sites.
Shareaholic makes it easy for you to submit the web page you’re viewing to digg, del.icio.us, facebook, google bookmarks, magnolia, reddit, stumbleupon and twitter. If you prefer, you can also e-mail the web page to a friend.
The ability to easily submit web pages is handy but I think the most useful feature of Shareaholic is its ability to track bookmark submissions in real time. You can see if an URL has already been submitted, how many times it has been saved on del.icio.us, how many times it’s been dugg, and how many comments it has received.
Bonus feature: Also find out how popular the page you’re on really is. Track real-time statistics from digg and del.icio.us.
If you do a lot of bookmarking and sharing this might be a handy little tool to try out.
I’m going to have to download that. It looks like it’ll be pretty useful. Especially for those of us that want to start Stumble groups….

It looks great except that the icon on the taskbar is not spaced correctly like the other icons. It moves to far to the right and merges too close to the other icons. Other than that it seems to be a useful plugin that will help lots of blogs get shared.
nevermind! i thought the pointer was separate from the icon. So it is spaced correctly after all.

Love the name, I guess maybe I am a shareaholic…sounds like a good one to add to the list of pluggins.

Looks good. But how do you get it. Is it to be downloaded or it is inbuilt in firefox.

You have to download the extension, install it then it will be integrated in firefox browser

I tend to avoid downloading extensions - I know that once I start I will never be able to stop!
I have the ‘Share This’ plugin in my blog - I think it is important for bloggers to make it easy for readers to share articles, rather than hope they make the effort to manually submit your articles to social bookmarking sites.
