Would you like to have a chance to win $200 by simply subscribing to my RSS feed?
Like I said in a comment the other day, when I decided to run this contest it was a little more unique. Unfortunately, I waited too long and there are a few similar contests already running but I promised you a contest so here it is…
Here’s how it works. Subscribe to my RSS feed using your favorite RSS reader and sometime before August 31st, I will publish a secret RSS-only message to the bottom of one blog post. It will be down below the article where you see the “Sponsored By:” links in some of our posts, so keep an eye open.
I realize that some of you may prefer to get your updates by email so don’t worry… you can win too! Subscribing via email will give you the same chance to win! That’s right, the email edition will also run the secret message sometime before August 31st.
Once you’ve found the winning message – it will be obvious, you won’t miss it – simply email the message to contest@pureblogging.com. I will then pick one lucky reader at random.
BONUS: If we reach 1,000 subscribers by the time I pick the winner, I will give away an additional $200 to another lucky winner, so be sure to tell as many people as possible to increase the prize pool!

Not yet – as I read it you need to wait for the secret message in the RSS feed.
Although there is no mention of a decoder ring currently, let’s just hope that the secret message is not:

Lol, there was really no need to do that because like Tyson said there will be a message appearing under the feed one day. So basically those who are already subscribed don’t really need to do anything other than read the posts, like usual.

This is pure marketing genius…what a great idea. I’ll be signing up to the RSS for sure. No doubt this will be a great boost to your readership.

That will probably be easy because this contest has been… well… let’s say… less than successful. The RSS numbers are not growing any faster than they were before the contest. Oh well, you live and learn.
