Welcome to this week’s edition of Weekend Links! Every Friday, I reward the active members of this community by featuring an interesting post from the top commentators.
If you would like to see your post featured here, just join the conversation by commenting regularly and next week you just may make the list.
Here’s this week’s list:
- Search Engine Marketing discusses the importance of your landing page in your PPC campaigns.
- Grace reveals some grammar mistakes that make you look [blank].
- webd360 suggests that you avoid useless posts.
- Increase WebSite Traffic gives 6 great tips for hosting a blogging contest.
- Rhys has a redesign of the new design, some new shoes, and two important questions. And maybe even a redesign of the redesign of the new design… I’m not sure anymore.
- Jamaipanese reports that there was a frozen baby Mammoth found in Russia.
- JoLynn Braley wants to know if you doubt the effectiveness of your workouts and gives 3 alternatives to “health” drinks. I couldn’t decide between the two so she gets two links this week.
- Saman Sadeghi shows you how to skip the Windows’ Recycle Bin and delete files automatically.
- Adam Donkus and the lovely Lizzie report that Suite 101 is a winner for freelance writers.
- Tyson gets motivation from a 14 year old. No, not that kind of motivation… get your mind out of the gutter!
Congratulations everyone, it’s Friday the 13th and you’ve been stumbled… Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the link! I’m reading the other links now.
Thanks for the link and the Stumble!
You are welcome!
Thanks for the mention David
No problem… I hope you gets lots of traffic from the stumble.
As bad as this sounds – that’s my problem! I’m getting too much traffic from StumbleUpon and my host is giving me crap about it!
I guess that’s a good problem to have though!
Nice links, I don’t normally bother going through link lists like this but you’ve chosen some good posts
Thanks Matt!
Hi David
Thanks for the kind words – can never get enough of them!
You’re welcome… I guess that I could have mentioned how lovely Adam is too but that just didn’t feel right…
Some great posts David, I took your lead and stumbled them all (except for mine).
That’s awesome and much appreciated!
THANKS!
Thanks Adam…
You know, one of the things that SU looks at is how many stumbles a site gets in a short period of time so just think how much traffic you guys would get if everyone stumbled each others posts every Friday. Just something to think about…
That’s a great point, we should all help each other out!
Hi David,
Cool, thanks so much, I guess that means that you liked both of my articles…you have made my day with your feedback.
Yep, liked them both… keep up the good work!
Thank you very much David!!
Hi David,
Once again I appreciate the list, but you clearly forgot to mention the redesign of the redesign of the redesign of the redesign of the new design
Well, it looks great no matter what revision of the new design it is. Good job!
David … as usual … thank you for all that you do!
Darin
I like this site, I’m impressed with how you encourage comments
Good selection of links
yes very good encouragement
Good reading list for me. I need to take my mind off all the studying I will start tomorrow. I love your lists.
Hey, cool, I actually already read one of these: webd360′s post on filling up your blog with, uh, useless filler posts. Good read.
Great idea for getting comments.
And I am in awe of you people. You post every day and you manage to comment every day on other people’s sites.
I’m exhausted with one post a week and just a few comments. Show offs.
Thanks for the linklove once again, I really like how you do this every week its great.
Great links, particularly liked landing pages for PPC and mammoth. Should keep me busy for atleast part of the weekend!
I’m happy to be the one who get stumbled last Week, even this week I don’t get the link, I still like to read the other Blog, because the link you post are interesting
I like your style, David!
I thought speed linking was useless, but now I feel its importance in maintaining a good community of your blog by rewarding the top commentators
Anyways, This list is a cool one and also it has saved by 30 mins.
Thanks!
David –
Thanks for the link. Being rewarded for participating through comments is a huge motivation. Matter of fact I am composing a post about comments and the benefit of them right now.
Thanks again,
Tyson
[...] to post. That is a shame because I received over 170 visits when I was ’stumbled’ in Weekend Links 07/13 by David Culpepper who dispenses blogging tips over at http://www.pureblogging.com. In honesty, I started [...]
Some great articles there – it is always a pleasure finding new blogs through link love posts!
