We’re getting close to naming a winner in our 1000th Comment Contest. So close in fact that I’m not going to tell you exactly where we stand. All I’ll say is this… We should get our 1000th comment sometime tomorrow!
Keep those comments coming…
That also means you have approximately one more day to get your entries in for Part 2 of this contest. And please remember, if you are participating in Part 2 of the contest make sure you send me an email with the link to your post. After I get your email, I will send you a note letting you know that I have received your entry… that’s the only way that you can be sure I have you on the list.
I will try to locate all the entries by going through the pingbacks and checking Technorati but to be on the safe side please send me those emails.

It’s going to be close but I think we will make it.
I know that the review contest went well, but did the comment contest increase the rate of comments (because in on of your earlier posts you said it didn’t really affect it much)?
The number of comments did not increase at first but as we got closer to the deadline, they did increase. I’ll put together a post detailing effects on comments, traffic levels, and income since so many people have asked about it.
I would be really interested in that and I’m sure a lot of your other readers would too, since we are bloggers.
I’m interested in seeing that post, too, especially in regards to the topic of traffic because of your contest.

I’m pretty sure it raises there chances since its the 1000th comment contest not 1000th commenter (that would take forever). I have been commenting a lot recently, but its not just because of the contest, its because I just found this site a couple of weeks ago and I like this blog and its posts(and I will continue to comment even after the contest is over).
