Eventually, I think Google and others will penalize for this sort of behavior. It's very similar to purchasing a text link - which Google has said it frowns upon when the two websites involved are unrelated in content. Viral popularity? I don't know - not sure what that 'List This Site' does - to be honest, I didn't know anyone used Bloglines anymore. I did for a short while but quickly switched to Google Reader after using it for a short time.
