PureBlogging » Blog Archive » May Roundup

I think I will follow Maki’s advice and do a monthly roundup from now on. So, below you will find the most popular posts from May 2007 just in case you missed anything.

  • SEO Plugins For Your Wordpress Blog – Every blogger would like to get more search engine traffic so here’s a list of Wordpress plugins that can help make your blog more search engine friendly.
  • Top 5 New Blogs for Bloggers – These blogs are all less than a year old and have already established themselves as great resources for the aspiring blogger. Take a few minutes to check them out… I bet you’ll be hooked too.
  • Get New Readers and Keep Them – Content of course is the driving force of any blog, you either have it or you don’t. No matter what your niche or non-niche is, it is your content that grabs a reader. But do you have side factors that are scaring readers away? With this post I am starting a series called “Keep Them Coming” that dives into this very subject.
  • Converting Visitors Into Regular Readers: Part 1 – One of the challenges that we all face as bloggers is turning that first time visitor into a regular reader. This is particularly important on those days when you get dugg, stumbled, or farked. In order to survive and grow your blog, you need to have a plan in place to convert new visitors into regular readers.
  • Converting Visitors Into Regular Readers: Part 2 – This is the second and final post in the series on converting first time visitors into regular readers.
  • Blog Review: BloggingTips.com – Blogging Tips is one of the feeds that I read every day so when Kevin requested a review, I was more than happy to oblige. The following are my thoughts and opinions on his site.
  • Would You Like To Write For PureBlogging.com? – If you have a passion for blogging, enjoy writing about it, and want to earn a little extra money, I would love to hear from you. I’m not looking for the next great novelist, but I would like to find a few people who can put together interesting and engaging content.
  • Writing Effective Post Titles – Writing effective post titles is an important part of marketing your blog, maybe the most important part.
  • Blogging Basics Part Three: Neat trinkets for your blog – It doesn’t matter whether your blog is on the Blogger network or if you’ve opted to get your own domain, you’ll need to spice it up. First things first, though, if your blog is Wordpress based, then have you chosen a theme?
  • Blogging Basics Part One: So you wanna blog? – I’m going to start out with a very basic blogging series. A lot of websites or blogs are more geared to the more experienced blogger, but I wanted to give some tips for those of you out there that don’t know what to do to get started and what the next steps are.

I always thought I would do a yearly wrap up (when I hit that anniversary), but it never occurred to me to do a monthly one! That’s a great idea!

I thought it looked like a good idea… we’ll just have to see how it goes over.

Good Idea to summeraize all the months blog posts, which helps for readers to revisit as well.
Thanks for sharing.
