I too have become shy with blogs that have widgets that display bad information about their blog. I use to have them on mine. I took them off due to this. I still display my site hits on it but that is pretty much all that i display. My site hits are set up so that even if I am the only reader, everytime my page is refreshed is counts as another hit. Cheating? Maybe but the readers don't know this and they think that I have a lot of hits to my site when in reality, all you really have to do is refresh the pay a few times a day.
